Goose Island 312 is the brewery's most popular and most commonly distributed beer. 312 is an appropriate name for the brewery's flagship product because 312 was the original telephone area code for Chicago, which has helped natives take pride in the beer. Goose Island enjoys fairly regular distribution in bars in the greater Chicago area, and from my own (The Beer Neb) personal experience tastes much better on tap then from the bottle. Outside of the midwest, 312 is the only Goose Island beer I could regularly find in stock.
